Berlin: Unter den Linden - Pariser Platz – Max-Liebermann-Haus

This house belonged to the German Impressionist painter Max Liebermann. Born in Berlin, Liebermann studied in Weimar, Amsterdam and Paris. He spent a most of his life in this house, painting under the influence of Courbet, Millet, and the Barbizon School. After the death of Max Liebermann, the Nazis forced his widow to leave the house in the autumn of 1935.
