Brussels: area by area: The Lower Town – The Grand Place – Le Renard

Le Renard was built in the 1690’s as the guild house of the haber-dashers by the Flemish architects Marc de Vos and Van Nerum. Façade details show St. Nicolas, patron saint of the merchants and cherubs playing with haber-dashery ribbons.
